Appointment Policy
Our policy for failed or cancelled appointments is as follows:
A significant amount of valuable clinical time is lost when an appointment is not attended; time which could otherwise have been allocated for the treatment of other patients.
Therefore, we routinely take a deposit of £100 for any appointment longer than 60 minutes duration, and £50 for new patients consultations, as a commitment from you to secure your space in our diary.
We require 2 working days notice of any cancellation, which will allow us to allocate your appointment to another patient. If 2 working days notice is not given we reserve the right to retain your deposit. We are a single surgery practice, so missed appointments can have a negative impact on our ability to provide care for patients.
CANCELLED appointments may incur a charge. If it is not possible to keep an appointment please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the appointment time to someone else.
FAILED appointments will occur a charge, which needs to be settled before further appointments can be made.
If appointments are failed or cancelled at short notice we may ask for further appointments to be paid for in advance, where the full cost of the time or treatment allocated is paid on booking. In these cases the appointment fee would be charged whether or not you are able to attend.
