Invisalign braces are clear and removeable. They fit tightly over your teeth and work to gently move them into the desired position over time. We will create a series of these clear aligners for you to wear in sequence.
First of all, we will take impressions of your teeth in order for your Invisalign aligners to be made. Some patients will require small attachments on their teeth to help aid the movement of the teeth, these are tooth coloured and extremely discreet.
Once your custom-made aligners are back from the lab, you can come in to collect them. We will show you how to put them in and ensure you know which ones are next in the sequence. Each set of Invisalign aligners should be worn for 22 hours per day and your dentist will explain how often you should change them.
You can remove your aligners to eat and drink and also to clean your teeth as normal. You will also need to clean your aligners and your dentist will provide advice on how to do this.
As each patient has their own unique needs, each course of treatment will vary in length but your dentist will advise you from the outset how long your treatment is anticipated to take.
