Dr Kathryn Ryan BSc (Hons) BDS (Hons) MFDS RCPS (Glas) MSc ARD
General Dentist with a Special Interest in Advanced Restorative Dentistry
Kat graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2012 with degrees in Biochemistry and Dentistry, providing a strong foundation in the science of oral health. She began her career as a general dentist on the Wirral before working as a Senior House Officer (SHO) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During this time, she also completed her MFDS postgraduate diploma in Dental Surgery.
Her career then took her to Queensland, Australia, where she worked in general dental practice and in community care, treating patients with severe anxiety and complex medical conditions for the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.
Since returning to the UK in 2017, Kat has worked in general practice and as a Clinical Teacher in Restorative dentistry. She earned her Master’s degree in Advanced Restorative Dentistry in 2021, refining her skills in the management of complex cases.
Kat enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a particular passion for restorative treatments focusing on restoring natural aesthetics. She accepts referrals for complex restorative cases, including the management of tooth wear and functional rehabilitation.
For Kat, the most rewarding part of dentistry is building lasting patient relationships and restoring confidence in oral health. She takes a science-driven, health-first approach, always prioritising patient comfort.
Outside of dentistry, Kat is a busy mum of two who enjoys music, fitness, and exploring new culinary experiences.
